This simple baby blanket DIY follows the same instructions as my Burp Cloth DIY.
The only difference between this DIY and the Burp Cloth DIY is the size of the fabric and optional batting.
You will need:
2 – 1 yard pieces of fabric
batting or fleece (optional)
Place your two pieces of fabric together with right sides facing each other, if you are using batting or a fleece lining add that as well, it does not matter which way it is facing since you will not be able to see it.
Sew 3 sides, then turn right side out.
Fold in your open end to create a hem.
Then create a finishing stitch all the way around the blanket.
I added a couple of small stitches to the middle of the blanket to help keep the layers together.
