Decorate Your Tree With Flour & Salt – Baked Ornaments DIY

Did anyone get the opportunity to bake their own Christmas ornaments as a child?  I always thought this craft was fun and my Mother saved those ornaments.  So here is the recipe to share with your children.

Salt Dough Baked Ornaments

Ingredients

4 cups flour

1 cup salt

1 ½ cups warm water

Food coloring

Directions

First mix the flour and salt.

Next add the water and food coloring and knead until mixed well and there are no lumps.

Roll out with a rolling pin on a piece of parchment paper.

Cut out your shapes and don’t forget to add a hole at the top to place a hanger.

Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour on parchment paper.

Add cinnamon for natural coloring and a wonderful scent!
